Knowledge Share Is Activism

Years ago during an international business trip one of my work colleagues was brave enough to share about his experience living in communist China.

He spoke about how restricted his access to information was, referring to the way in which the government controlled the books, websites, music, clothes & culture that he and the people of China have access to.

During that discussion, my colleague shared something that very much still resonates with me- he shared that the one place that he was free to be himself was in his mind. He was able to imagine, believe, dream, question, wonder whatever he wanted to within the safety of his mind.

I share this present day lived experience to remind us just how privileged we are in the western society to not only have access to knowledge but to be able to share it openly-

Within our modern world, there are many societies, cultures & countries which currently restrict people’s access to information based on gender, race, religion or other factors.

If you’re seeking ways to create change in the world around you, sharing knowledge is one of the most accessible ways you can activate.

Share your experiences, share your ideas, share your beliefs, and then listen to what others have to share as well.

One of the best ways we can expand & evolve as a healthy society is to learn from each other by sharing knowledge.

There’s power in knowledge— so let’s empower each other by sharing what we know, what we’ve lived, and what we believe in.
